The Boy Who Sneaks in my Bedroom Window: Kristy Moseley

Amber Walker and her older brother Jake were abused by their father as kids. One night, their neighbor, 10 year old,  Liam sees 8 year old Amber crying and sneaks into her room. Ever since that night, the two have becomed accustomed to sleeping next to one another. 8 years later Amber and Liam begin to feel a stronger connection between them, problem is, Liam is the biggest man-whore known to man and Amber isn't willing to let her heart get broke. And Amber has developed a problem from all the abuse, she hates being touched.

I was addicted to this book the second I started. At first I was a bit worried to read it because I didn't want to read about kids being abused but then after Liam and Jake, being all loving and protective, kick Amber's father's ass it begins to focus more on the romance between Amber and Liam. Liam? How can I describe Liam? One word: Perfect! Picture Travis Maddox and the perfect prince charming meshed into one. He has two personalities: badass badboy Liam during the day and sweet loving Liam at night. This book has a few steamy scenes, however a lot of people on goodreads have a problem with this. Why? Because as I said above, Amber has a problem with people touching her, everyone except her mom, Jake, and Liam. She says this people! Over and over again! Liam has been touching her (innocently) since they were 8 and 10 obviously she isn't going to have a problem with him touching her eight years later! Anyways enough with the rant. Liam and Amber had me swooning and laughing out loud so many times I think people might have thought I was a bit insane. They're a match made in heaven and the epilogue! Although this book hasn't made my immediate re-read list, it's in there somewhere.

Beautiful Disaster : Jamie Mcguire

Abby Abernathy is trying to escape her past, but then she meets Travis Maddox. With a bad boy and player reputation, Travis is infamous in Eastern U. He is instantly drawn to Abby but when she refuses to be another one of his “bimbos” he decides to make things interesting. After losing a bet with Travis, she is forced to move into his apartment with him for an entire month! After dealing with an alcoholic mother and a father who blames her for losing everything he’s owned, the last thing Abby wants is to fall for Travis, but she begins to find it harder to ignore the undeniable chemistry between them.
I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH!!!!!!! Ok I’ll admit that there were a few scenes where Travis scared me a little, he seemed a bit out of hand and controlling but I loved him anyway! He’s adorable and the way he treats Abby is just… I can’t even describe it. He gives her a nickname as soon as he meets her, Pidge. It reminded me a lot of Lady & the Tramp O.o Anyway I found myself “awww”-ing throughout the entire book and I can’t wait to re-read it! My mind is overflowing with good things about this book yet I can’t find the right words to describe it. Awesome? Adorable? Perfect? Cute? Yeah all of the above! :D
Usually we do only one paragraph together. But I just had to write my own paragraph. hello dear followers :D lol. So after my best friend Em (person who wrote her thoughts above (:)hounded me about reading this book I finally did. I’m so pleased to say that it does not disappoint! I found myself laughing and crying and even dancing reading this book. The romance, to me, was so real. It wasn’t always perfect and happy go lucky with Travis and Abby. I think that’s what I loved most. Nothing came easy for them like in most love stories. They argued more then anything else! But when they made up, and they always did, I pretty much squealed like a baby lol! I have such a soft spot for Travis. Given, he is really protective and at times overboard but I totally understand why. He has always been a ladies man. He never experienced anything remotely close to what he feels for Abby and I think that scares him. Everything is so new to him he doesn’t know how to really cope with being in love. On top of all that, he grew up in a house with four brothers and a dad- seriously what could he have learned about love?! So he acts like he always has - overly protective, at times controlling, impulsive and very raw. Don’t get me wrong though- he’s so sweet and caring to Abby and tries very hard to change his ways for her. I LOVE him. I found myself not wanting this book to end. It was very well written and definitely one of my favorites. I will be reading it again !

Forever Mine : Elizabeth Reyes

Sarah is forced to move to California after her mother is arrested. After promising her best friend, Sydney, that she would move back as soon as she turns 18, she is determined not to make any ties with anyone in California. That all changes when she meets Angel Moreno. This isn’t the first time that Sarah’s heard of or seen the infamous Angel, her cousin Valerie has mentioned him and his older brother Alex many times before. After their romance begins, Angels states that guys and girls can’t be friends little does he know that Sydney is a guy.
I LOVED THIS BOOK! I got my best friend addicted! Sarah and Angel’s relationship is too adorable. He’s very protective of her but she likes that because she’s never had a father figure to care for her. Sarah and Sydney have been best friends since they were around 8 years old. She goes to Sydney for everything and that doesn’t change once she moves. She calls him every night to tells him about Angel and he encourages her to make a move on him. Every time Sarah mentions Sydney to Angel, she fails to mention that Sydney is a guy. The romance in this book gives me butterflies and makes this book ADDICTING! I finished it in a day and wanted to re-read it right away.I love the pet names that Angel calls and how Sydney calls her Lynni (Sarah’s middle name is Lynn). It made me laugh and had me turning the virtual pages on my ipod awaiting to see what happened next with these two characters.
5 out of 5 stars :)

One more thing to say about this book: it's really special to me because it was one the very first self published YA books I read. I love Ms. Elizabeth Reyes and all her books, just saying :')

Callum & Harper : Fisher Amelie

Harper Bailey is just kicked out of the Foster Care system after having turned 18. While sitting in the Social Services office, she meets Callum Tate. Callum, who has been on his own for three months now, decides to help Harper adjust to living life on her own. With no money and no where to live, they form an instant connection that helps them deal with their daily struggles.
Although the romance in this book is adorable we fell in love with Callum & Harper’s friendship in general. We like that in this book , Harper is the bad ass while Callum is the more calm and collected one lol. He was always there to soothe her when something went wrong (which is all the time with their crappy luck!) and she always tried to make him see things differently. This book literally left me speechless, I’m having a hard time trying to write this review because I have SO MUCH TO SAY but I don’t know how to say it! Callum & Harper begin to like each other but are to clueless to notice. Even though it was frustrating that they weren’t officially dating, I wouldn’t change the process that they go through to end up together.
Callum introduces Harper to all his friends and Harper finally feels like shes apart of a family. He knows her like no one else has, which makes her fall harder for him. They start to live a somewhat normal (which is actually not so normal lol) life where they have a everyday routine and devise a plan to save enough money to move in together. But Someone from Harper’s past comes back and ruins the stability that they form. John Bell was another foster kid who lived with Harper when they were younger. He became obsessed with proving his dominance over her. He’s a MANIAC!!!! He stalks her and makes both of their lives miserable. This book will have you on an emotional roller coaster and may even make you appreciate the life you have and the people that are in it. Definitely a re-read!

5 out of 5 stars <3

PS I have no idea why but whenever I hear this song it reminds me so much of Callum & Harper. Also Can't wait for Ms. Amelie to release Thomas & January on paperback :D

EDIT** This is and shall forever be one of my all time FAVORITE books ever!

Love Unscripted - Tina Reber

To officially open my new blog I decided to start with one of my new favorites: Love Unscripted by Tina Reber...

Taryn Mitchell, owner of Mitchell's pub, recently got her heart broken by her ex-fiance. Now she's decided to keep herself at a distance from men. That is until she meets Ryan Christiansen.
Ryan Christiansen is a very famous actor who just wants to do his job. He could do without the fans, the paparazzi and the lack of privacy. Trying to find a way to avoid his crazy fans, he runs into Mitchell's pub. There, he meets Taryn. Luckily for him, Taryn has no idea who he is.

And so it begins. First off this book is HUGE! I must admit that I was terrified to read it because I thought it would take me a few weeks but nope! I finished in almost a week. Ryan and Taryn's relationship is just perfect! When they we're flirting it was enough to give me butterflies. I didn't want their relationship to change but at the same time I wanted them to be more than friends. Their adorable phone calls and the their trip to the lake (very adorable scene) and their secret gesture had me swooning.  Taryn's biggest fears of making that transition with the very famous Ryan Christiansen (think Robert Pattinson) were 1. Not being enough for him 2. Losing him to another actress and 3. Losing her privacy. This book had me all gushy. It made me laugh and smile like a fool but I loved every second of it. There are parts in the book where I did want to slap Taryn a few times but her fears are really understandable. What can I say about Ryan? He is perfect! My favorite thing about this book was just the relationship that these two characters developed, yes they were lovers but they were best friends. Speaking of best friends, their best friends are amazing! Marie, Tammy, Pete and Gary! I literally found myself clutching onto the book when it was over. I can't wait for the sequel! Please Ms. Reber stop the torture and publish it already!

Hi!

Hi :) Ok so I'm kind of new to this but I promise I'll learn fast. Let me start by introducing myself. My name is Emily. Tagging along will be my best friend Fran. We're book nerds and I do mean HUGE BOOK NERDS! We love YA books but are more in love with Independent Authors such as Elizabeth Reyes, E.L. James, Fisher Amelie, Tina Reber, and too many more to name, the list is very long. So basically the point of this blog is to write book reviews. We have a tumblr book blog but we want to expand. If you're curious you should check it out readers-thoughts.tumblr.com Now let the exploring begin and hopefully this blog turns out good bye :D
